I design jewellery, I make jewellery, I teach jewellery skills.

With nearly thirty years experience in designing and making in metal, I have produced a vast array of jewellery and objects. From cutlery and vessels through to rings, bangles, earrings, and brooches, I have applied a consistent aesthetic to my work while ever mindful of the audience for which the piece is intended.

I strive to achieve thoughtful work. I make jewellery that responds honestly to the qualities of the metals and gemstones used. I aim for simplicity and timelessness of design. I bring this experience to all that I do here in the workshop. Please click through to the ‘My Work’ page to see more.

In my workshop, not only do I make jewellery for people, but I’m also operating a teaching workshop. My workshop offers a range of jewellery classes and courses, from complete beginners level through to more experienced learners. The classes and courses feature guest teachers, and are offered weekends as well as weekdays. There are short workshops of only a few hours right through to term long enrolments.

Students come to learn jewellery for a whole range of reasons – looking for a new career path, seeking a new hobby, looking to refine and refresh the skills that were first learned decades earlier – all students are welcome and catered for in a warm, friendly workshop atmosphere.

A Deeper Connection

I’m also excited to be offering a Make Your Own Wedding Rings service. Working with couples to facilitate their making of their own rings is one of the favourite things my career has offered me. Click the ‘Make Wedding Rings’ tab to find out more.

I aim to support students not only in their craft skills, but also by helping them understand the jewellery world as a whole. Students thrive when workshop discussions cover topics such as; best suppliers of materials, great galleries to visit, alternative methods of crafting, and inspiring jewellery stories.
